About Us

 St Thomas of Canterbury Church in Gainsborough is in the Lincoln Deanery in the Diocese of Nottingham. St Thomas’ serves a wide geographical area with approximate boundaries from Scotter in the north to just short of North Clifton in the south, to Hemswell in the east and out to Graizelound/Haxey in the west. The parish boundaries have changed over the course of time 

The church is situated in a small narrow street approximately five minutes’ walk from Marshall’s Yard retail park where parking is available. There is a charge to park during the day but parking after 6. P.M. is free. 

 St Thomas’ shares a priest with its sister church, Holy Rood at Market Rasen.

 Fr Robert Thacker is our parish priest.

 Currently Mass is celebrated on Sunday morning at 10 A.M. and confessions by request 20 minutes beforehand and Friday morning at 10 A.M. People are advised to check the times and dates of all services which can be found in our newsletters.
